Anklet, also known as ankle bracelets, ankle chains or ankle strings are ornaments worn around the ankle mostly by women. A major  historical meaning associated with a circle around the anklets is a shackle. This refers to slavery. Meanwhile, wearing an anklet in the western culture is a form of adornment . Since it does not keep a body part warm, nor conceal a body part that society decides should remain hidden, then its only function can conceivably be adornment.




In some part of the world like India, aside from functioning as foot adornments, they also signify social status. In ancient Indian culture, anklets with charms dangling on them were worn mostly by married women, This way, family members would know she was coming by the sound of her anklets. This way, they would be sure to welcome her with respect.

However, in somewhat recent history in Ghana, wearing anklet has a different designated significance. It is considered by some people , to indicate the wearer is 'available' for the right price,while others see it to be an ornament, which beautifies the leg. Does wearing an anklet have anything to do with who you are? Does your religion frowns on it?

It also provides ample pockets for carrying your first date supplies . Again pay attention to your shoes. shoes say a lot about you and are one of the aforementioned clues to your personality that your date will check out. Ensure your footwear is clean, functioned and stylish. For evenings or events that do not require a suit, look to a blazer jacket. A jacket helps men look

Note: 1. Never try something new with your hair night before a date. Instead, go with the growing
routine that's worked for you. Get your hair trimmed the week before your date and use the same barber you always do. Clean fingernails, trimmed nose hairs and the tuft of hair growing on the back of your neck.
2. Wear a stylish accessory. A small stylish detail like a pocket square in your jacket breast pocket, a quality watch on your arm can elevate your style in the eyes of a woman.
3. Always get sweet scented perfume to smell good before you step out. It makes you refreshing.

depending on our needs and taste .There are different types of bags for different occasions, these are,

Purse: This is a small and medium bag used to carry money,make up, ID cards and other small necessities.They come in all shapes and sizes. Best for quick meet up . 

Tote: This a large rectangular handbag with two straps and an open ton. The occasion to wear it is when you are having a time out with your girlfriends. 
Shopping bags: This is a large handbag able to withstand a lot of weight. This bag is best for you who spends most time at the market, groceries shop and not comfortable with the paper bags, this is perfect for you. It can also be for the beach.
Satchel bags: This is a medium to large sized handbag with a top carrying hands. Perfect occasion is when you are going for a road trip.

Sling bags: This is a small to medium sized classy handbag.A perfect time to rock it is for a date

Quilted bags: This bag are usually square shaped, stitch pattern with classy detail.It is best worn for church.
Clutch:This is a small rectangular bag with no straps. It is an evening bag which means you can’t carry too much stuff in it . Best time to use it,is when going to the club.

Are you the type who often get confused on what to wear on a first date?
Are you the type who have a crush on a guy and it's like a dream come through for him to invite you on a date yet your are wondering what to wear even though you want to do everything possible to impress him by your appearance?  Or are you also the type who turn to loose friendship after a first date? Hey..Worry no more !

In our discussion today, we will be looking at the Do's and Dont's in dressing up for a first date.

What to wear on a first date is a dilemma  that we single girls expecially  have been trying to solve for some time now. It becomes a headache when ever the "Dress to Impress " pressure is on.
Let's go through  the following tips  to help us finally get clarity on this issue.  Single ladies,  grab your  notebook - I know you would like to take notes!

1. Give yourself plenty or enough time to plan out what  you are wearing .

2. Choose a colour or outfit that you are often complimented on. With this you are assured of you looking good.

3. Comfort should be a priority. The last thing you want to do is be fidgeting with your outfit. Wear something that fits you. It shouldn't be too loose  or oversized.  Something that shows off your figure but isn't too tight. Comfort is key no matter what. If you feel good in what you're wearing, you'll look good. Confidence is everything.

4. Pick one best asset to show off and  that's it. For example,  Do you have great arms?  wear a strapless maxi dress. Great legs? wear  shorts or a  skirt.  Meanwhile, note that too much skin can actually be a turn off and look like you are trying too hard.

5. Don't show too much skin!  Avoid extremes like overly trendy outfits or heavy make up. This can actually push the person away.

NOTE: Let location be your guide. Your look should reflect your environment.
Don't wear anything that you can't  walk in, eat in, or breath in!

It's a Saturday afternoon and we found ourselves in an Online Journalism class with Worla, as he prefers to be called, taking us through how to create a blog. Initially, it wasn't an easy task since it was our first time but then it became more interesting as we run along.
